The Jigawa State Government has disowned a fraudulent scheme circulating on social media under the name “Business Starting Loan,” which falsely bears the picture of His Excellency, Governor Malam Umar A. Namadi.
In a statement issued to newsmen, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Media, Malam Garba Al-Hadejawy, categorically dismissed the program as fake.
Jigawa Government Dismisses Allegations of Misplaced Priorities
He said the scheme has no connection whatsoever with the Jigawa State Government or Governor Namadi.
He explained that the false scheme is work of fraudsters attempting to mislead citizens and tarnish the governor’s reputation.
Jigawa Information Officers Seek Government Support
According to the statement”The public is urged to disregard this scheme, which is the work of fraudsters attempting to mislead citizens and tarnish the governor’s reputation” the statement read.
Al-Hadejawy reiterated state Government committed to genuine empowerment programs, particularly in agriculture and trade, as part of his administration’s agenda.
The government warns the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the relevant authorities.
