The Jigawa State Government has announced plans to deploy Ethiopia’s magic towards effective wheat farming in the state.
Already, Governor Umar Namadi has traveled to Ethiopia to understand “the magic wand “that made the East African country a key player in wheat farming in Africa.
A statement signed by the Senior Special Assistant Media Affairs to the governor, Hajiya Zainab Rabo Ringim, and made available to newsmen in Kano, said that an expert on the sector and retinue of aids closed to the sector are on the on the governor’s entourage.
Rabo Ringim said the move to boost wheat production in the state was informed by the desire of Governor Umar Namadi’s administration to consolidate the position of the state as number one in wheat production in the country.

She said that her principal and his team while in the east African country would explore innovative agricultural practices and deploy same to boost the sector in Jigawa State.

Hajiya Rabo Ringim said the governor and his team would particularly understudy Ethiopia’s National Wheat Production Initiative and engage in cognate experience-sharing to grow wheat farming in the state.
