Kano State Accountability Forum on Education (K-SAFE) has commended Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for appointing Comrade Ibrahim Waiya and Dr Nura Iro Ma’aji in his cabinet.
The coalition said the nominees, who worked in civil society space possess the requisite expertise and experience to drive the government’s success.

According to a statement signed by K-SAFE Public Relations Officer Nasiru Yusuf Ibrahim, the appointment of Waiya and Ma’aji demonstrates Gov. Yusuf’s commitment to appointing the best individuals for the job.
Ibrahim quoted the Co-chairperson of the coalition Dr Auwalu Halilu saying that Comr. Ma’aji brings a wealth of experience, having served as the Special Adviser on Students Matters and recently on Employment to Gov. Yusuf while Waiya’s expertise as pioneer president of Kano Civil Society Forum will be invaluable in driving the state to greater height.

Dr Halilu said: “We applaud Gov. Yusuf for appointing highly competent individuals to serve as commissioners. The nominees, who worked in civil society space, possess the requisite expertise and experience to drive the government’s success,” the statement said.
“We are confident that they will work tirelessly to promote dynamic infrastructural development and sustainable growth in the state. The nominees are the best fit for the state executive council at this critical juncture.
“Their appointment will be instrumental in addressing the state’s challenges and laying the roadmap for a more secure and prosperous future. We are confident that they will work tirelessly to promote the state’s development and welfare.”
The group also commended Kano State House of Assembly for confirming the nominees to be members of the state executive council.
