The Chairman, Kano State House of Assembly Committee on Local Government Affairs, and Member representing Bebeji Constituency Alhaji Muhammad Tiga Bebeji, has led an inspection visit to Tarauni Local Government Area to assess the progress of development projects recently approved by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for execution across local governments in the state.
According to the Information Officer of Tarauni Local Government, Adamu Iliya Hotoro, the committee inspected several key projects, including the renovation of the Tarauni Local Government Secretariat, rehabilitation of Alu Village Primary Health Care Centre, renovation of the Gyadi-Gyadi Police Station, and the construction of toilets at Gyadi-Gyadi South Primary School.

Speaking during the inspection, Alhaji Muhammad Tiga Bebeji expressed satisfaction with the level and quality of work on the sites.
He emphasised the state government’s commitment to ensuring that grassroots communities benefit directly from its development policies and initiatives.
“The administration of His Excellency, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, remains focused on ensuring that development reaches every ward and community in Kano State,”
The lawmaker commended the efforts of local government chairmen for effectively implementing approved projects in line with stipulated standards and procedures.
He further reaffirmed that the Kano State House of Assembly will continue to monitor and supervise public projects across the state to promote accountability, transparency, and quality service delivery.

In his remarks, the Chairman of Tarauni Local Government, Alhaji Ahmed Ibrahim Muhammad Sekure, along with the Personnel Management Officer, Alhaji Tijjani Madaki Gulya, and the Acting Head of Works Department, Musa Lawan Gulu, expressed appreciation for the committee’s visit and pledged continued commitment to community-centred development.
The visit, according to the committee, is part of a statewide oversight exercise aimed at ensuring efficient implementation of local government projects and reinforcing the Assembly’s legislative role in promoting good governance.
