Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has inaugurated the construction of two roads and a cattle market in Dambatta and Minjibir local government areas.

This is contained in a statement by Ameen K. Yassar, Project Comms Sp, KSADP.

The road projects, totalling 15.077 kilometres, cost N2,161,406,383.50, while the cattle market was reconstructed and upgraded at the cost of N340 million.

The projects, funded by the Islamic Development Bank and the Lives and Livelihood Fund, aim to develop agro-pastoral systems, ensure food security, reduce poverty, and improve livelihoods. Governor Abba described the move as a major milestone, underscoring his administration’s commitment to sustainable infrastructural and agricultural systems.

The upgraded cattle market features modern facilities, including loading ramps, watering facilities, and veterinary services infrastructure. Governor Abba expressed appreciation to the funding partners and urged beneficiaries to utilize the infrastructure and empowerment packages.

The District Head of Dambatta, Alhaji Mansur Mukhtar, thanked the state government for bringing development closer to the people. The projects are part of the Kano State Agro-Pastoral Development Project (KSADP) interventions.
