Responding on behalf of the committee members, Sheikh Daurawa explained that what happened in the recent protest, where street children were seen committing a lot of havoc, was a clear indicator that all was not well and that something needed to be done to address the challenge.

He stressed that the Kano State Hisbah Board made some discoveries about some buildings and areas being occupied by homeless people of both sexes where a lot of children were born and raised.

According to him, the board had to alert and request for the state government to approve the setting up of the committee.
