The Independent Hajj Reporters have honored Comrade Sulaiman Abdullahi Dederi, Chairman of the Kano State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), with the 2024 Hajj Best Reporter of the Year award.
The award was presented at the 2024 Hajj Lecture and Awards held at the National Mosque in Abuja.
National Coordinator Comrade Ibrahim Muhammad cited Dederi’s exceptional performance during the recent Hajj exercise as the reason for the recognition.
He stressed that Dederi’s leadership, press releases, and unbiased stories have boosted the Kano Pilgrims Welfare Board’s image and his own reputation.
The NUJ Kano Council has congratulated him on this achievement, praying for continued guidance and blessings.
