Speaking at the launch, Chairman of the Correspondents’ Chapel, Mr. Murtala Adewale, said the initiative was conceived as a way of easing the stress of daily reporting duties and providing members with a relaxed atmosphere to network and bond after long hours of field assignments and editorial deadlines.
“Journalism is a highly demanding profession. This initiative provides our members with a space to refresh themselves, exchange ideas, and build stronger professional and social bonds,” Adewale said.
He added that the chapel leadership remained committed to sustaining the gesture, noting that the Tea Break would serve as a platform for fostering unity, strengthening cooperation, and improving members’ welfare.
