The Kano State Universal Basic Education Board (SuBEB) has organized a two-day training seminar for retired teachers.

The seminar, which took place at the Board’s main conference hall, aimed to enhance the post-retirement life of the participants.

The event was attended by distinguished guests, including Alhaji Wada Ibrahim Daho, the permanent member of the Board, and Hajiya Amina Umar, the Board secretary.

Representing the Executive Chairman of SuBEB, Mal Yusuf Kabir, Alhaji Wada Ibrahim Daho commended the initiative and expressed the Kano State government’s commitment to improving the welfare of retired workers.

The seminar featured presentations on various topics, including health management post-retirement, agricultural practices, and strategies for economic empowerment.

Dr. Zakari Uba, Ph.D., the Chairman of Summit Alliance Consulting Ltd, outlined the seminar’s objectives and encouraged retirees to actively participate in the sessions.

One of the notable presentations was made by Dr. Muhammad Umar Kibiya, the former Deputy Rector of Kano State Polytechnic. Dr. Kibiya emphasized the importance of self-reliance and seeking professional guidance when venturing into new careers after retirement.

The seminar received enthusiastic participation from a wide audience of retirees, particularly former teachers, who expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and skills for their post-retirement journey.
