Markaz Ihyaahis-Sunnah wa Ikhmaadil-Bid’ah, a renowned Islamic institution, on December 1, 2024, marked its 15th anniversary, with a grand graduation ceremony.

The event,which held at Primary School, Maikalwa, Kumbotso, Kano, highlighted the institution’s dedication to reviving Islamic heritage and providing free education.

A total of 22 students, including both Junior and Senior Classes, were honored for their academic achievements. The ceremony also recognized students who, due to circumstances like marriage, travel, or illness, were unable to complete their final exams, awarding them Certificates of Attendance.

The event was further enriched by the launch of two remarkable books, Al-Ghaybiyaat and Al-Mushafaha, authored by Markaz students. These publications, along with the previously released Silsilatul ‘Aqeedah Bil Adilati As-Saheehah, showcase the institution’s commitment to intellectual growth and scholarly pursuits

Several distinguished individuals were honored for their contributions to Islamic education. Sheikh Dr. Bashir Khidr Abdulahameed, Chief Imam of Uhud Mosque, Kano, Mallam Zakariyau Abubakar, Imam of Mai Ungwa Ado House’s Mosque, Kano, and Eng. Yusuf Garba Abubakar, a prominent philanthropist and entrepreneur, were recognized for their support.

A highlight of the ceremony was a heartfelt appeal by Markaz students, led by Rumaiza Sadiku, to community leaders.

The students proposed the formation of committees to address issues such as education, health, security, infrastructure, and media advocacy.

This initiative garnered praise from BUK Professor Isa Abu Mahmud, who commended the students’ vision for community development.

Ustadh Ibraheem (Albani) Abubakr Mu’allim, the Director of Markaz, delivered an inspiring message to the graduates, urging them to continue their pursuit of knowledge, share their learning with others, and remain independent of organizational affiliations.

He also emphasized the importance of a Quran- and Sunnah-centered upbringing for children, guiding them to make informed decisions based on Islamic principles.

Since its inception in 2009, Markaz has educated over 769 students, providing free daily educational programs.
