The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced the cancellation of all import declarations made during the implementation of the 4% Free-on-Board (FOB) charge on imports. This decision follows the recent suspension of the FOB charge.

In a statement, by the Assistant Comptroller of Customs National Public Relations Officer Abdullahi Maiwada, the NCS directed affected importers, customs agents, and stakeholders to recapture their declarations through designated customs processing platforms.

This move is part of the NCS’s broader effort to enhance efficiency, transparency, and implement government fiscal policies in line with the Nigeria Customs Service Act 2023.

Under the leadership of Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, the Service remains committed to openness and transparency in its engagements with stakeholders.

Traders are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to avoid further delays in clearing their consignments.

The NCS is committed to facilitating trade while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
