Dangote Cement Plc has announced the commencement of applications for its 2025 Management Trainee Programme a prestigious, fast-track career development initiative designed to nurture the next generation of business leaders in Nigeria’s industrial sector.
According to a statement from the company, the 18-month programme offers mid-career professionals and high-performing graduates a unique opportunity to accelerate their professional growth through hands-on business exposure, structured mentorship, and leadership development across multiple divisions of the Dangote Group.
Described as a “prestigious career acceleration journey,” the programme blends the rigour of an MBA with practical industry experience, combining classroom-based learning with real-world projects and executive mentoring.
“The journey to greatness starts with a step. The Dangote Management Trainee Programme is designed to prepare high-potential professionals for leadership roles through cross-functional experience, classroom learning, and hands-on projects,” the company said in the statement.
The 2025 edition aims to build a pipeline of enterprise-minded leaders capable of thriving in competitive business environments. Participants will undertake structured rotations across Dangote Cement’s plants, depots, and corporate offices, gaining first-hand experience in operations, technical, commercial, and corporate functions.
The programme will also feature a one-month intensive classroom immersion, focused on business strategy, cement industry fundamentals, leadership, and risk management, followed by three leadership labs centred on personal mastery, team leadership, and enterprise leadership.
Eligibility Criteria
Interested applicants must meet the following requirements:
Be between 28 and 35 years old
Have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC)
Possess 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience
Hold a Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) — HND applies to technical roles
Demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative skills
Exhibit leadership potential and the ability to influence stakeholders
Show resilience, adaptability, and a passion for industrial excellence
