The Gas, Power, and New Energy Directorate of NNPC Ltd., led by Executive Vice President Olalekan Ogunleye, convened the Mobility-CNG Stakeholders Workshop with the theme:
“Enhancing Industry Alignment for a Sustainable Mobility-CNG Sub-Sector.”
The high-level event brought together key industry players to align efforts in accelerating Nigeria’s gas-driven transformation agenda.
Delivering a keynote address virtually, Group CEO, Engr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari, reaffirmed NNPC Ltd.’s dedication to collaborating with government partners to fulfill the Presidential mandate of using gas as a strategic tool for national prosperity.
“Gas remains critical to improving energy access, ensuring food security, and driving inclusive economic growth,” Engr. Ojulari stated.
He also emphasized the importance of safety, urging stakeholders to embed safety culture across operations to strengthen public confidence in gas as a cleaner, safer alternative.
One of the workshop’s key sessions—moderated by Acting Chief Health, Safety and Environment Officer, Akpabio Essien—focused on strengthening HSE compliance frameworks.
Also speaking, Gogomary Oyet, General Manager, HSE, NNPC Retail Ltd., spotlighted the company’s Goal Zero campaign, which embeds a safety-first culture, engaging personnel at all levels across operations.
