The NNPC Ltd. Has emphasised the economic and environmental advantages of adopting CNG as a cleaner and cheaper fuel alternative, urging stakeholders to leverage government policies on clean energy by investing in the entire value chain of CNG technology.
This was made known by the Chief Corporate Communications Officer of the NNPC Ltd., Mr. Olufemi Soneye during the Nigeria Diaspora Investment Summit (NDIS) held in Abuja, on Tuesday.
Represented by the Head, Relationship and Stakeholder Management, Mrs. Oluwakemi Olumuyiwa, Soneye highlighted the company’s role in establishing and deploying CNG mother stations in select areas through pilot schemes.
These efforts, Soneye said, are clearly encouraging further investments in gas-to-power, gas-to-processing-and-distribution, LNG and CNG, as well as petrochemicals sectors to make affordable, sustainable energy accessible nationwide.
Hosted by the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), the Nigeria Diaspora Investment Summit aims to bring together diaspora investors and stakeholders interested in exploring investment opportunities in Nigeria.
