The Special Study Centre, National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Garki, Abuja, has organized a one-day workshop to prepare students for seminar and project defense.

The interactive session, led by Acting Director Dr. Paul Ifeanyi, focused on selecting research topics, writing, and project presentation. Dr. Ifeanyi emphasized the importance of originality and avoiding plagiarism in project writing.

He noted that project presentation is an opportunity for researchers to showcase their work, share experiments, and demonstrate the quality and relevance of their research. However, poor preparation, anxiety, and lack of confidence can hinder this process.

Dr. Ifeanyi encouraged students to approach project writing as an exciting exercise, sharing final results without fear of contradictions. Students had the opportunity to ask questions and express concerns, which were addressed by the director.

The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks from the student representative, who expressed gratitude for the knowledge gained.

The students also received a free textbook to take home.
