In a strategic move to enhance communication and collaboration among key departments, the Ministry of Education convened a high-level meeting at the HME Common Room, led by Bukola Bayo Philip, Knowledge Management and Communications Manager of the Partnership for Learning for All in Nigeria (PLANE).

The meeting, attended by directors and representatives from the Press, ICT, and Education Support departments, focused on addressing communication challenges and improving project delivery across the ministry.
According to Kabiru Haruna, Assistant Director, Information and Public Relations, the session provided an opportunity to critically analyze the ministry’s communication strategies.
He highlighted the need for tailored solutions to improve information dissemination and coordination among departments.

During the meeting, Mrs. Folashade O., Director of Press, emphasized the pivotal roles of the Press, ICT, and Education Support departments in information management.
She, however, expressed concerns about the lack of inclusion within the ministry’s hierarchical structure and called for greater synergy.
Similarly, the DD ICT and Director of Education Support discussed their departments’ unique roles and underscored the importance of fostering a symbiotic relationship to strengthen communication and project outcomes.
Kano Edu Stakeholders Converge for Training on School Enrollment
Bukola Bayo Philip, Knowledge Management and Communications Manager, on behalf of PLANE, reiterated the programme’s commitment to bridging communication gaps among stakeholders.
She explained that PLANE, funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO), aims to deliver sustainable improvements in learning outcomes for all Nigerian children.
As part of this effort, the meeting outlined plans for training key personnel in public relations, strategic communication, and crisis management to ensure better coordination and enhanced performance.
K-SAFE School Enrollment Campaign Team Visits Rimin Gado
A consensus was reached to commence the tailored training programme in March, following three weeks of consultations with desk officers from the affected departments.
The initiative is expected to equip staff with the necessary tools to tackle management challenges and foster a culture of collaboration and efficiency.
This meeting reaffirms the Ministry of Education’s commitment to adopting innovative approaches to improve communication and project delivery, paving the way for sustainable educational reforms.
