Governor Dikko Umar Radda has dismissed rumors suggesting he is nursing a vice presidential ambition, reaffirming that his sole focus remains delivering on his mandate as Governor of Katsina State.

“I’ve seen posters and messages suggesting I’m pursuing another office. Let me be clear: I sought your mandate to serve as Governor of Katsina State, and that is my only focus,” he stated to a cheering crowd.

As part of the visit, the governor supervised the distribution of 600 bags of maize donated by philanthropist Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim (Marketer), alongside ₦10,000 cash to each of 600 victims of insecurity a donation from Hon. Aminu Balele Dan Arewa, Member representing Dutsin-Ma/Kurfi Federal Constituency.

He emphasized that security remains the top priority of his administration:

“We are working tirelessly to restore peace to Katsina. We will never make promises we can’t keep, and every decision we take is guided by sincerity and the fear of God,” he said.

In response to community concerns, the governor announced an extension of the waterway project from Dutsin-Ma to Charanchi and surrounding communities. He also revealed plans to reconstruct the Gobirawa Road in Kuki Ward.

Earlier, Dr. Sabi’u Liadi, Chairman of the Dutsin-Ma Development Forum, praised the governor’s humility and performance-driven leadership.

“Our support is based on results,” he affirmed.

In his welcome address, Executive Chairman of Dutsin-Ma Local Government, Kabir Abdussalam Shema, endorsed Governor Radda for a second term, citing his compassion and delivery on key projects.

“Without hesitation, we endorse Your Excellency for another term. We believe in continuity because we’ve seen tangible results,” he said.

The event drew top government officials, lawmakers, traditional and religious leaders, youth and women groups, and hundreds of residents who benefited from the relief packages.
