President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, ahead of the 2025 BRICS Summit. Upon arrival, he was warmly received at the Galeão Air Force Base by Colonel Juliana Barros, the Brazilian Foreign Liaison Officer.
On Saturday, July 6, President Tinubu will attend the plenary session of the BRICS Summit, arriving at the venue by 10:00 a.m.

The following day, Sunday, July 7, he is expected to deliver Nigeria’s national statement during the summit’s general debate.
In addition to the main summit events, President Tinubu is also expected to hold a series of sideline meetings with leaders from other participating nations.
