Dangote Peugeot Automobiles Nigeria Limited (DPAN) has commenced the assembly of the Peugeot 3008 GT model in Kaduna, expanding its lineup of locally assembled vehicles.
The Peugeot 3008 GT, with its 1.6-liter high-performance turbo engine, joins the existing range of ‘Made-in-Nigeria’ Peugeot vehicles, including the 301 sedan and the 5008 SUV.
DPAN has also unveiled the Peugeot Landtrek 4×2, a pickup truck with a rear-wheel drive system, powered by a 2.4-liter engine. The Landtrek is part of Peugeot’s rugged and reliable pickup truck range.
According to Umar Isa-Kaita, Chief Commercial Officer of Dangote Peugeot, the company plans to expand its sales and after-sales network by accrediting dealerships across Nigeria.
The addition of the 3008 GT and the Landtrek to DPAN’s lineup is part of the company’s promise to introduce new models, including the 508, to the Nigerian market.
The Managing Director of DPAN, Ibrahim Isa Gachi, expressed his optimism about the company’s prospects, stating that the assembly of the Peugeot 3008 GT and the introduction of the Landtrek are testaments to DPAN’s commitment to delivering high-quality vehicles that meet the needs of Nigerian customers.
With a production capacity of 120 vehicles per day, DPAN aims to reclaim Peugeot’s position as a leading brand in the Nigerian auto market.
