Baitussalam International Academy, Yarar Dole in Dutsinma, Katsina State has held its maiden graduation and prize-giving ceremony, graduating its first set of 22 students.
Speaking at the event, the Director of School and Academics, Malam Sufyanu Amadu, urged parents to instill strong moral values in their children to enable them to become responsible members of society.

He also advised the graduating students to put the knowledge they have acquired into practice and to be good ambassadors of the school.
Malam Amadu emphasized the importance of balancing both Western and Islamic education in order to meet global challenges and called on parents to continuously support their children in this regard.
In her welcome address, the Headmistress, Malama Fadila Sanusi Liadi, revealed that the school, established in 2021, now has an enrollment of 250 students.
She said the institution was founded with the goal of promoting moral upbringing and academic excellence among children in the community.

She explained that the school is a subsidiary of the Baitussalam Islamiyya group of schools, established by a group of visionary individuals committed to ensuring that children are not left behind in the pursuit of both secular and Islamic knowledge.
While congratulating the graduating students, Malama Fadila highlighted some of the challenges faced by the school, including non-payment of fees, inadequate learning materials, and insufficient infrastructure.
She appealed to parents to contribute more actively to the development of the school.
In separate interviews, many parents praised the school management, teachers, and the host community for their collective efforts in providing quality education.
They also encouraged the graduating students to consider their achievement as the beginning of a lifelong journey of learning and self-development.
Highlights of the event included a cultural drama presentation by students representing Hausa, Fulani, and Yoruba ethnic groups, as well as the presentation of merit awards and certificates to deserving students.
