Kano State has been allocated 5,684 seats for the 2026 Hajj exercise.
The Director-General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, stated this during a meeting with Board Members, Management Staff, Local Government Hajj Center Officers, and other officials at the Board’s headquarters.

Danbappa also revealed that, according to the directive from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), the deposit for intending pilgrims has been fixed at ₦8.5 million.
He explained that the collection of deposits will commence immediately through bank drafts submitted via Local Government Hajj Center Officers and will continue until the closing date of October 5, 2025, when the final Hajj fare will also be announced.
The Director-General urged intending pilgrims to make timely payments in line with the schedule provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
He added that all applicants must submit eight passport-sized photographs and a valid international passport as part of the registration process.

In his remarks, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Alhaji Yusif Lawan, prayed for Almighty Allah to grant intending pilgrims the means to fulfill their payments without hardship.
He also tasked Local Government Hajj Center Officers to work tirelessly to ensure that their seat allocations are secured and well managed.
