The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has received Commissioners of Information from the 36 states of the Federation at his office in Abuja.

The delegation, led by the Borno State Commissioner of Information and Internal Security, Prof. Usman Tafa, paid a courtesy visit to the Minister to strengthen collaboration between the Federal Government and states on national information management and public communication.

Also present at the meeting were senior presidential aides, including the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga; the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communications, Sunday Dare; and the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Special Duties, Tunde Rahman.
The meeting highlighted the importance of synergy between federal and state information managers in promoting national orientation, countering misinformation, and enhancing effective communication between government and citizens.
