Following the directive of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) after due consultations on the 2026 Hajj fare, the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced that the approved amount for intending pilgrims from the state is ₦7,696,769.76 (Seven Million, Six Hundred and Ninety-Six Thousand, Seven Hundred and Sixty-Nine Naira, Seventy-Six Kobo).
The Director General of the Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, confirmed that this fare applies uniformly to all intending pilgrims from Kano State.
According to Alhaji Danbappa, pilgrims who had earlier deposited ₦8,500,000.00 will receive a refund of ₦803,230.24, while those who paid ₦8,244,813.67 will be refunded ₦548,043.91.
He further explained that all new intending pilgrims are required to pay the full ₦7,696,769.76 to secure their slots for the 2026 Hajj exercise.
The Director General also announced that the deadline for payment is 5th December, 2025, in line with NAHCON’s directive.
Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u urged all intending pilgrims to ensure that their payments are completed before the deadline to avoid losing their Hajj opportunities.
