7th Galien Africa Forum Launches in Dakar, Focusing on Youth-Led Innovations to Combat Climate Change

The 7th Galien Africa Forum kicked off yesterday with the Youth Pre-Forum, bringing together young leaders from 16 African countries to present innovative solutions addressing climate and health challenges.

This flagship event emphasizes the crucial role of leadership and artificial intelligence in driving effective health actions.

Key Highlights:

Innovative Solutions: Young participants showcased AI-based solutions tackling air pollution, malaria, waste management, mental health, and artificial photosynthesis.

Interdisciplinary Collaboration: The forum highlighted the potential of collaboration in building resilient health systems in Africa.

Prof. Awa Marie Coll Seck urged young leaders to unite beyond borders and cultures to transform climate challenges into opportunities.

Galien Africa Prize: The 4th edition will be presented on Wednesday, recognizing innovations in healthcare.

Forward-Looking Programme: The forum features discussions, panels, and influential personalities from health and development sectors.

Youth Forum: Wednesday’s event focuses on “Youth Innovations Addressing Climate and Environmental Crises in Africa.”

Galien Africa Forum: Continues until Friday, October 25, 2024, with over 3,000 stakeholders participating.
