President Bola Tinubu of Nigeria has expressed his support for the Global Alliance Against Hunger and Poverty, an initiative championed by President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva of Brazil .
At the 19th G20 Leaders Summit, Tinubu praised the Initiative, calling it a “bold and visionary step” towards addressing hunger and poverty globally.

He emphasized Nigeria’s commitment to eradicating poverty and achieving zero hunger, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Tinubu also stressed the need for United Nations Security Council reform and Nigeria’s readiness to represent Africa in the council.

Additionally, he highlighted the importance of global taxation reform and the need for a more equitable international financial architecture
