The Kano State Government, KNSG, has urged the 44 Local Government Areas (LGAs) to expedite the completion of various projects with the N300 million allocation to ensure timely access to the next funding tranche.

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Local Government Matters, Alhaji Bashir Abubakar Yaro Galadima, emphasised the importance of project completion during his inspection visit to Gabasawa Local Government.

Galadima’s directive follows inspections conducted across various LGAs to monitor the utilisation of the N300 million allocation.

LGAs that fail to complete projects on time risk delaying the next funding tranche, which could impact the delivery of critical services to residents.

The Kano State Government’s push for timely project completion underscores its commitment to grassroots development and empowerment.

By ensuring that LGAs utilise funds effectively, the government aims to improve the lives of residents and drive economic growth in the state.

Gabasawa Local Government Chairman, Pharm. Sagiru Tarauni has lauded Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf’s support, enabling the council to execute impressive projects within eight months.

The chairman expressed gratitude for the governor’s commitment to grassroots development.

The chairman pleaded with the governor to continue supporting the local government council to initiate more projects for their communities, highlighting the significant impact of the governor’s support on local projects and initiatives, which have ultimately enhanced residents’ lives.
