The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has commenced activities to mark the maiden National Police Day celebration, which will run from April 2nd to April 7th, 2025.
The event aims to strengthen police-public relations and foster collaborative efforts towards a safer society.

The celebration kicked off with a security roundtable discussion with stakeholders in the state, led by Commissioner of Police Baba Mohammed Azare.
The discussion focused on crime prevention strategies and ways to build a stronger police-community partnership.
A series of community engagement programs have been lined up to mark the occasion, including:
A stakeholders’ roundtable on security
An environmental sanitation exercise in partnership with the state Ministry of Environment
A free medical outreach for residents
A school outreach program to campaign against cultism and social vices
A police-community fitness walk to promote physical well-being and collaboration
