The defendant, who lives in Rimin Kebe Quarters, is facing a count charge of criminally causing grievous hurt. The Vice-Chancellor, Bayero University Kano Professor Sagir Adamu, said Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital has conducted over 100 kidney transplants since its inception in 2002. Professor Sagir made the indication during a three-day kidney transplant and urology workshop organized by the tertiary education trust fund (Tetfund), held at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (AKTH).
