The Kano State Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Comrade Ibrahim Waiya, has announced the restoration of 85% of the responsibilities taken away from the Ministry of Information.

He noted that the ministry has already commenced the introduction of modern strategies to enhance information dissemination in Kano State.
Some of the initiatives announced by Waiya include the establishment of a Kano Citizens Platform, which will provide a channel for citizens to contribute to the state’s development.
The ministry will also organize quarterly interactive sessions between the government and citizens to address their concerns and aspirations.

In addition, the ministry will partner with Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) across the 44 Local Government Areas to serve as good governance ambassadors.
