The Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi, has signed into law the Bill for establishment of State Hisba Board, giving it a legal backing to function effectively.
The bill was signed on Tuesday at Council Chambers of Government House, Dutse, the state capital.

The Governor explained that the process, which started eight years ago, was completed today to ensure the Board have a legal backing to operate effectively.
According to him
“We have signed into law the Hisba Bill, which establishes the Hisba Board as an official institution in Jigawa State”
The governor expressed hope that its operations would bring greater social order and moral discipline to the state.
He urged Hisba personnel to conduct their duties with the fear of Allah, fairness, and dedication.

Governor Namadi also commended the Hisba Board Establishment Committee for their outstanding commitment, hard work, and sacrifice.
