The Commander General Kano state Hisbah Board, Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa says only 6 out of 12 states in northern nigeria have successfully formalised hisbah.
Daurawa disclosed thid while receiving a delegation of Hisbah personal from Niger state.
According to him, hisbah has effectively reinforced the 13 points of the Islamic Sharia legal system in their respective communities to better lives.
Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa further explained that the Kano State Hisbah Board has a cordial working relationship with the military and paramilitary agencies in Kano to ensure the security of lives and properties.
The Commander General emphasized the need for the Niger state Hisbah to sensitize and educate people on Islamic norms values, and Islamic sharia.

He further charged the Niger state Hisbah command to establish a marital counselling department for settling marriage disputes and other related matrimonial cases.
Earlier the leader of the delegation who doubles as commander and Head of Hisbah command Suleja Emirate Council, Niger state, Dr. Musa Tanko Abubakar pointed out that, Niger and Kano States Hisbah has a long history of good working relationship.
He said they had collaborated during the movement for the implementation of Islamic Sharia, Mass weddings and the destruction of a large consignment of confiscated bottles of beer.

Dr. Musa Tanko Abubakar hinted they were at the Hisbah Board to acquire more knowledge on Hisbah corps ranks and women’s nomenclature and to discuss issues and views with the Commander General to move their agency forward.
