Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf has fulfilled the promise to reconnect a community in Kumbotso Local Government by providing a new to transformer to them.

But on Monday, as the governor was passing by the area to attend to a function, some of the residents thonged the roadside to greet and complain to him about their situation.
As the governor stopped to exchange pleasantries with the people, they complained to him about the electricity situation in the area and how they spent three years in blackout.
In his response, the governor promised to provide a transformer to them and make sure it is installed in five days.

In his speech at the event, which was Flag-off Ceremony for Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (MNCH) Week and Commissioning of CMMA Centre at Kumbotso Comprehensive Health Center, Yusuf directed the Managing Director of the State Rural Electrification Board to purchase a new transformer and install it at Yankusa village.
Instantly, the governor called the managing director of Rural Electrification Board and directed him to meet him at the MMCH event.
When, the board boss arrived the event, Governor Yusuf publicly instructed him to provide a new transformer to them within five to six days.
In a statement by the governor’s spokesman, Sanusi Bature Dawakin-Tofa, “ before the expiration of the Governor’s directives the transformer was sourced and installed at the place for the people of ‘Yankusa to continue enjoying dividends of democracy being provided to citizens by present administration of NNPP in the state.”
