The second return flight carrying pilgrims from Kano State for the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage has safely departed King Abdulaziz International Airport, Jeddah, heading toward Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport.
The flight, which took off at exactly 7:23 am today, carried 550 pilgrims.

Speaking during the farewell, the Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, expressed profound gratitude to Almighty Allah for the successful and safe return of the pilgrims.
He also commended the Kano State Government, led by Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, for the strong support given to pilgrims throughout the Hajj exercise.
Alhaji Lamin urged the returning pilgrims to continue upholding the values of discipline, unity, and devotion they embraced during the pilgrimage.
Kano State Airlifts First Batch of Muslim Pilgrims to Saudi Arabia
The returning pilgrims on this flight were drawn from six local government areas of Kano State:
Warawa – 17 pilgrims (11 males, 6 females)
Rano – 227 pilgrims (195 males, 32 females)
Kibiya – 50 pilgrims (42 males, 8 females)
Bunkure – 60 pilgrims (45 males, 15 females)
Dawakin Kudu – 36 pilgrims (23 males, 13 females)
Kura – 106 pilgrims (69 males, 37 females)
Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to ensuring the smooth and safe return of all remaining Kano pilgrims. He also offered prayers for the safety and well-being of those still awaiting their flights back home.
The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board extended its heartfelt appreciation to all stakeholders for their cooperation and support, praying for a successful completion of this year’s pilgrimage as all pilgrims return safely to their families.
