    Jigawa Signs MoU with Security Firms to Protect Public Institutions

    The Jigawa State Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with three security service providers to strengthen the safety of key public institutions, including schools, hospitals, and courts across the state.

    According to the statement signed by the secretary to the State Government (SSG) Bala Ibrahim, the initiative is part of the state government’s commitment to ensuring the security and well-being of its citizens.

    He said, the collaboration aims to implement comprehensive security strategies tailored to the specific needs of each institution.

    “These measures include deploying trained security personnel and providing on-the-job security training for teachers in schools, healthcare workers in hospitals, and judicial personnel in courts”

    The SSG emphasized the importance of the initiative, stating, “The safety of our children in schools, our healthcare workers in hospitals, and our judicial personnel in courts is paramount.

    This partnership with security service providers is a proactive step toward ensuring that these essential services operate in safe environments, free from security threats.”

    He pointed out that state government believes that prioritizing security in these sectors will foster a conducive environment for education, healthcare delivery, and judicial operations, ultimately strengthening public trust in these institutions.

    “This collaboration is not just a response to immediate challenges but a strategic move toward long-term development and safety for all Jigawa citizens,” the SSG added.

    Ibrahim explained that, Jigawa State Government will work closely with the security service providers to ensure the measures are both effective and sustainable. Regular evaluations will be conducted to adjust strategies based on emerging security trends.

    Additionally, the government urged all stakeholders, including parents, healthcare workers, and legal practitioners, to support the initiative for the collective safety of the community.

    Speaking on behalf of the security service providers, Zubairu Ahmed, a representative of Karakallo Global Security Network, expressed their commitment to the project.

    Paradigm News reports that , the Jigawa State Government has approved the employment of 9,970 youth for the security of schools, health institutions, and courts across the state.
