The Kano State Accountability Forum on Education (K-SAFE), in collaboration with Beta Nigeria Education Coalition, has honoured Zainab Ibrahim Bukar as the 2024 Best Education Content Creator.
The award aims to recognise her outstanding contributions to education advocacy through digital media.
She was awarded a cash prize of ₦100,000 in appreciation of her efforts in using multimedia platforms to promote educational awareness and engagement.

The event aimed to equip young content creators with the skills to effectively use digital media to advocate for education reforms and awareness.
Speaking the co-chair K-SAFE Associate Professor Dr. Auwal Halilu emphasized the need for a collective approach to tackle the challenges facing education in Nigeria.

He stressed the importance of creating content that influences government policies on education, rather than sharing insignificant content on social media.
The co-chair also highlighted the need for NGOs, media, and government to collaborate in providing credible information about the state of education and potential solutions.
The associate professor emphasized the power of digital platforms in driving educational change in his presentation titled “Informal Networking and Leveraging Multimedia Avenues for Education Advocacy,”

Beta Nigeria Education coalition program lead, Abdulsalam Badamasi, urged other social media users to leverage their phones to create content that promotes primary education in Nigeria.
He pointed out that, the event aimed to equip participants with skills in education-focused reporting and content creation while fostering collaborations to amplify educational priorities.
“we feel that to push the message of primary education in Nigeria, that will catch peoples attention is through content on social media, that can be created by anybody to address teachers shortage, out of school children and enhancing education accountability”
The winner, Zainab Ibrahim Bukar attributed her success to her passion for content creation.
She expressed gratitude to the organizers and called on content creators to showcase their talents for the development of the state.
Paradigm News reports that another contestant, Aisha Sani Lawan Indabawa, also received ₦50,000 for creating compelling short content that shed light on the challenges facing education in Kano.
The event reinforced the K-SAFE and Beta Nigeria Education coalition’s commitment to promoting accountability and innovation in the education sector while encouraging young media influencers to use their platforms for positive educational impact.
