In a heartfelt response to the tragic fire outbreak that struck the Farm Centre GSM Market Sallah Eid day, the Deputy Governor of Kano State, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, has expressed deep sympathy to the affected traders and assured them of the government’s support.
The fire, which engulfed Dan Sulaika Plaza during the festive celebrations, destroyed several shops in one of Kano’s busiest commercial hubs.

In a statement by Ibrahim Garba Shuaibu, spokesperson of the Deputy Governor, explained that Comrade Gwarzo conveyed the sorrow of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and the entire state government, describing the incident as devastating and painful,not only to the traders but to the broader state economy.
“This is a deeply saddening event,” he said. “Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf is extremely concerned, and we stand in solidarity with those who have lost their means of livelihood. The state government is committee and shall explore ways to support the victims to mitigate their loss ”
The Deputy Governor assured the affected traders that the state stands with them in this moment of sorrow and would provide all the necessary support to them to ensure that they go back to their businesses

He further noted that the Yusuf administration is actively working on long-term strategies to improve fire safety in markets across the state, in an effort to prevent such tragedies in the future.
