The Kano State Hospitals Management Board HMB led by Executive Secretary Dr. Mansur Mudi Nagoda, has embarked on a comprehensive operation to transform the state’s health sector.
This was contained in a statement signed by the public relations officer HMB, Samira Suleiman.

According to the statement, the operation which was officially launched on Monday the 27th of January 2025 has Executive members comprising of the Commissioner for Health, DG’S of PHIMA, KNCDC, KSACA and DMCSA as well as Executive Secretary of KSCHMA and KHETFUND, HMB directors, Secretaries and the public Relations Officer.
Dr. Nagode explained that the initiative aims to address the state’s health challenges by fostering collaboration, improving sanitation, reducing truancy, and enhancing intervention.
Others are fostering professional relationships among healthcare professionals, Reducing truancy and improving attendance, enhancing sanitation and hygiene.

Dr Nagoda highlighted that it would go a long way in reducing unnecessary delays in intervention and Implementing government policies to reduce maternal and neonatal mortality.
During the visit, the executive secretary Monitored utilization registers for free delivery and cesarean section services and Evaluated staff attitude and work ethic.

The team plans to visit all facilities under the board’s care to ensure that the health sector is transformed and that quality healthcare services are delivered to the people.
