Alhaji Musa encouraged the students to remain focused on their studies and excel in their academic pursuits.
He also approved their request to organize an eye screening exercise for civil servants in the state, a move aimed at addressing prevalent eye health challenges among the workforce.
Earlier, the National President of KANOSA, Umar Ahmad Musa, explained that their visit was to thank the HOS for his critical role in ensuring their inclusion in the Bonding allowance scheme.
He described the resolution of this long-standing issue, which had lingered for eight years, as a remarkable achievement by the current administration under Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf.
“As part of our appreciation, we deemed it necessary to present you with an award for the immense support you have shown to our association,” the KANOSA President stated.
He also requested the HOS to extend their gratitude to the Governor for approving the allowance and reiterated the association’s commitment to partnering with the state on the proposed eye screening program.
This landmark inclusion of Optometrists in the State Civil Service underscores the government’s dedication to enhancing professional development and improving public health services.
