The Kano State Police Command has arrested 10 suspects in connection with kidnapping and armed robbery cases in the state.
The arrests were made possible through intelligence-driven operations and the command’s enhanced operational capabilities.

According to a press release issued by the spokesperson of the command,
SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, suspects were arrested in various locations across Kano, including Badawa Layout, Kadawa Mil-Tara Quarters, and Zakirai Town in Gabasawa LGA.
He pointed out that,the police recovered several items from the suspects, including firearms, ammunition, cash, and vehicles.
Kiyawa exlained that, the recovered items include a Beretta pistol, an AK-47 rifle, a locally made pistol, and a Dane Gun, as well as various rounds of live ammunition. A sum of four million eight hundred and fifty thousand naira (N4,850,000:00) was also recovered from the suspects”
The spokesperson hinted that,the Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, commended the officers involved in the operations and assured the public that the command will continue to work towards ensuring the safety and security of all residents in Kano State.
Kano Police Command Arrests 24 Suspected Thugs, Weapons
He highlighted that, the suspects are currently undergoing investigations at the Command’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and will be charged in court upon completion of the investigations.
