The Kano State Commissioner for Higher Education, Comrade Aminu Abdulsalam Gwarzo, has reaffirmed the government’s unwavering commitment to enhancing the education sector, urging individuals and communities to actively support its initiatives.
Kano State’s Education Investments Yield Remarkable Results-Gov
Comrade Gwarzo, who doubles as the Deputy Governor made this declaration while addressing staff of the Ministry for Higher Education shortly after assuming office.
He emphasized the pivotal role of the Ministry in advancing education in Kano State.
The deputy governor reiterated that education remains the cornerstone of the State Government’s policies and called on all stakeholders to complement the government’s efforts in achieving its educational goals.
Kano State Invests in Education Revamps Infrastructure
“We will not tolerate laxity or negligence from any individual or group,” Comrade Gwarzo stated. “The government is committed to rewarding dedication and ensuring that legitimate concerns of public servants are addressed.”
Comrade Gwarzo stressed that education is a collective responsibility, encouraging individuals, groups, and communities to invest in the sector. “Education is the responsibility of all; it requires the contributions of every good citizen,” he added.
Speaking on behalf of the Ministry’s staff, the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Hadi Bala Yahaya, welcomed the new Commissioner and expressed the staff’s dedication to their responsibilities.
He assured the Deputy Governor of their commitment to achieving the ministry’s mandate.

In a related development, the Commissioner also received a delegation from Gwarzo Local Government Area, led by the Council Chairman Dr. Mani Tsoho and elders, who paid him a courtesy visit to extend their support and solidarity.
