Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State has taken a strong stance against human trafficking, sexual and gender-based violence, and violence against persons.
He’s committed to providing necessary resources to the state taskforce committee to combat these issues effectively.

Medical Outreach: Conducting medical outreach programs for victims
Education Support: Providing school bags to 80 victims of human trafficking
Skills Acquisition: Organizing skills acquisition training for 30 victims
Psychological Support: Offering psychological support to survivors
Public Awareness: Conducting public awareness efforts through radio programs
Economic Empowerment: Plans to provide soft loans to over 100 youths and scholarships to students
Governor Radda has also emphasized the need for enhanced strategies to address rising cases of violence, particularly sexual abuse against women.
He’s willing to address funding challenges faced by the taskforce to ensure they can continue their vital work.
Additionally, Governor Radda has signed the Violence Against Persons Prohibition (VAPP) and Child Protection laws, demonstrating his commitment to eradicating human trafficking and violence in Katsina State.
