Similarly, two receivers of stolen property, one Samaila Abubakar and Isah Muhammad, all of Tambuwal town, Sokoto State, were also arrested in connection with the case, adding that one red Bajaj motorcycle was also recovered during the operation.

The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Birnin Kebbi, for further investigation with a view to unravelling their modus operandi and arresting the remaining members of the syndicate for diligent prosecution.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Bello M Sani, had applauded the professionalism adopted by the DPO Kalgo in arresting the suspects, and reiterated the Command’s determination on its sustained onslaught against violent crimes, with a view to ensuring a safe and secure environment.

CP Bello M Sani hereby called on the motorcyclists to be wary of time, location and the type of people they carry in conducting their daily business.
