Kebbi State Police Command has arrested four motorcycle snatchers, two receivers of stolen properties and recovered three motorcycles in the Kalgo local government area of the state.
The Command’s Image maker, Chief Superintendent of Police Nafi’u Abubakar, disclosed this to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Bello M Sani, said last month, one Aminu Umar of Al’amin Villa Kalgo, reported at the Kalgo Division that he reasonably suspected the following persons, Tirmizi Tukur, Abubakar Lauwali, Mudassiru Danbala and Ibrahim Sani, to have conspired and stolen his missing unregistered Haijue motorcycle, black in colour.
Acting on credible intelligence, a team of Policemen attached to the Police Divisional Office Kalgo, successfully raided a suspected criminal hideout and arrested the suspects and two red unregistered Bajaj motorcycles were recovered

When interrogated, the suspects confessed to having stolen the motorcycles from Kajiji village, Tambuwal LGA of Sokoto State.
Similarly, two receivers of stolen property, one Samaila Abubakar and Isah Muhammad, all of Tambuwal town, Sokoto State, were also arrested in connection with the case, adding that one red Bajaj motorcycle was also recovered during the operation.
The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Birnin Kebbi, for further investigation with a view to unravelling their modus operandi and arresting the remaining members of the syndicate for diligent prosecution.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Bello M Sani, had applauded the professionalism adopted by the DPO Kalgo in arresting the suspects, and reiterated the Command’s determination on its sustained onslaught against violent crimes, with a view to ensuring a safe and secure environment.
CP Bello M Sani hereby called on the motorcyclists to be wary of time, location and the type of people they carry in conducting their daily business.
