A 40-year-old man, Hassan Kabiru was on Tuesday arraigned at a Kano Sharia Court for allegedly causing grievous hurt to one Haruna Ashiru.
The defendant, who lives in Rimin Kebe Quarters, is facing a count charge of criminally causing grievous hurt.
The prosecutor, Inspector Abdullahi Wada, told the court that the complainant, Ashiru, who resides in Tudun Wada Quarters, reported the matter at Gwale Police Station, Kano on April 19.
Wada alleged that on the same day at about 8:30p.m., the defendant had argument with the complainant which led to a serious fight.

He said the defendant insulted the complainant, threw stones at him and injured his left leg.
The defendant pleaded guilty to the charges.
The Judge, Malam Umar Lawal-Abubakar, ordered the remand of the defendant at Goron-Dutse cCorrectional Centre and adjourned the case until May 9 for summary trial.
