The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) and the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) in Kano State have expressed their heartfelt appreciation to stakeholders who have contributed to seeking justice for a young girl who was brutally sexually assaulted.

The Chairperson of NAWOJ, Sayyida Bahijja Kabara, and the Chairperson of FIDA, Justice Salma Danbaffa, commended the Emir of Kano, Mallam Muhammad Sanusi II, the wife of the Governor of Jigawa State, and other stakeholders for their unwavering support in addressing the case.

The two organizations expressed deep sympathy to the young victim and condemned the heinous crime, which involved the use of objects such as a spoon and scissors.
They emphasized the need for stricter measures to prevent similar incidents and urged parents, guardians, and communities to remain vigilant and report cases of abuse and violence to the relevant authorities.
