The Kebbi State Commissioner of Police, Muhammad Sani Bello, has confirmed that no arrests have been made following the reported attack on the convoy of former Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami.

Addressing journalists shortly after a security meeting with Governor Nasir Idris, the Commissioner explained that the incident, which occurred around the GRA area, was allegedly carried out by political thugs.

    He said investigations are ongoing.

Bello noted that the governor convened the meeting to address concerns over rising political tensions, including the use of sirens in violation of existing restrictions and early political campaigns contrary to the law.

He assured that security measures have been put in place to enforce the ban on political campaigns and urged parties and their supporters to remain calm.

“The case is still under investigation, and whoever is found guilty will be arrested and face the full wrath of the law,” the Commissioner warned.
