NNPC Retail Limited has dismissed a pump attendant and suspended a station manager following a viral video showing an attempt to defraud a customer at one of its filling stations.
The company said in a statement that its investigation traced the incident to a station in Ikorodu, Lagos, describing the behaviour as “unacceptable” and contrary to its values of integrity, transparency, and exceptional customer service.

In line with its sanction grid, NNPC Retail said the pump attendant had been disengaged, the station manager suspended, and the dealer issued a formal warning letter.
The firm thanked members of the public for their vigilance and urged them to report any misconduct through customer service contacts displayed at its stations.
