The Kano State Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, has congratulated Comrade Abbas Ibrahim on his well-deserved appointment as the National Trustee, Zone A of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).
Comrade Abbas Ibrahim, a distinguished media practitioner, former Chairman of the NUJ Kano State Council, and the current Assistant Secretary of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Kano State Council, was appointed during the National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of the NUJ held in Abuja.
The Commissioner described the appointment as a clear recognition of Comrade Abbas Ibrahim’s unwavering dedication, commitment, and exemplary service to the journalism profession, both at the state and national levels.
“On behalf of Kano State Government under the able leadership of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and the good people of Kano State, I extend our heartfelt congratulations to Comrade Abbas Ibrahim on this remarkable achievement. His appointment as National Trustee, Zone A, is a testament to his long-standing integrity, professionalism, and leadership within the media landscape. He further prayed for Allah’s guidance and protection for Comrade Abbas in the discharge of his new responsibilities, wishing him a successful and impactful tenure.
