Represented by WOFAN’s Desk Officer for Kano State, Alhaji Dayyabu Abubakar stressed that the hub not only promotes economic inclusion by providing accessible business infrastructure but also addresses broader community needs.
He noted that the Karfi marketing hub is the second of its kind in Kura Local Government Area (LGA), following the establishment of a similar facility in Kura Market. Kura Market, one of the largest ethical markets in Kano, trades over 500 truckloads of grains daily to various destinations within and beyond Nigeria.
“With this new hub in Karfi, Kura now boasts of two historic marketing hubs. The facility includes three shops allocated to women processors who are WOFAN members, supporting their businesses,” he explained.
He further detailed that the marketing hub consists of three shops: one serving as an office where members can discuss their concerns and business strategies within Karfi Market, while the other two are designated for business operations.
The establishment of the marketing hub and its associated facilities underscores WOFAN’s commitment to empowering PWDs, promoting self-reliance, and improving the overall quality of life within the community.
