The Kano State Commissioner for Transportation, Alhaji Ibrahim Ali Namadi, has tendered his resignation following his alleged involvement in the controversial bail of a suspected drug baron, Sulaiman Aminu Danwawu.
The development came shortly after Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf received the report of an investigative committee set up to probe the matter.

In a statement signed by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the Commissioner said his decision was made in the public interest, given the sensitivity of the issue.
