The 2025 NOG Energy Week swung into action with a prestigious golf tournament at the scenic TYB International Golf Resort, setting a relaxed yet impactful tone for the week-long oil and gas gathering.
Nestled in the Federal Capital Territory, TYB’s lush fairways welcomed golf lovers, business leaders, and energy stakeholders from across Nigeria, combining sport with networking in an atmosphere of camaraderie and competition over the weekend.

At the end of a pulsating affair, Apute shone as the overall best net winner after she played off handicap 18 and returned a gross score of 82 and 64 net.
Isaiah Okonofua, also of TYB Golf Club, emerged as the best gross winner after returning 73 gross.
In the men’s category, Kareem Mumuni defeated Aletor Adoghe on countback, after playing off handicap 25 and returning 90 gross and 65 net.
Adoghe, who played off handicap 10, returned a gross score of 75 and 65 net to finish as runner-up net in the category.
While, George Ibinabo beat Ejike Njeze on countback after he played off handicap 9 and returned 76 gross and 67 net to settle for the second runner-up spot.

In the Ladies category, Maryam Julde-Adura emerged as best net after she played off handicap 28 and returned a gross score of 96 and 68 net to beat Judith Igwugwu on countback.
Igwugwu, playing off handicap 33, returned 101 gross, and 68 net to finished as runner-up in the category.
While Faith Ogenyi, who also played off handicap 33, returned 105 gross and 72 net to settle for the second runner-up position in the ladies’ category.
In the veteran category, Emmanuel Eluoha, playing off handicap 14, returned a gross score of 88 and 74 net to clinch the best net prize.
While Mohammed Sanusi beat Tony Prest on countback to finish as runner-up in the veteran category after he played off handicap 16 and returned 101 gross and 85 net.
In the Auxiliary award category, Philip Kuma won the longest drive men’s prize with a distance of 283 m.
Maureen Apute won the ladies’ longest drive prize with a distance of 222m.
Ali Peters, the Vice Captain of TYB International Golf Resort and Country Club, secured the Nearest the Pin Men award at just 5 feet.
While Apute capped off what was an outstanding night for her with the ladies’ nearest to the pin prize with a distance of 12 ft.
Dr. Peters expressed gratitude to the organizers of the NOG Energy Week Golf Tournament for hosting the event at TYB International Golf Resort.
He also welcomed the opportunity to host the tournament annually at the club, reflecting the club’s enthusiasm for golf and community engagement.
